Direction issued by the CommissionThese proceedings shall be read in continuation of earlier proceedings of the Commission dated 21/6/2016. On 21/6/2016, the Commission observed and ordered as under:- "The District Magistrate, Jaunpur, U.P. be asked to inform the Commission as to whether- i) 11 bonded labourers have been provided rehabilitation package? ii) What amount of compensation has been awarded to victim Smt. Kila Mushar under Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Rules, 1995? Response be submitted within six weeks. Put up after six weeks." Pursuant to the directions of the Commission, District Magistrate, Jaunpur, U.P. vide communication dated 8/8/2016 has informed the Commission that all the 11 bonded labourers have been provided Rs. 20,000.00 each as rehabilitation package on 28/12/2015 and 1/2/2016 respectively. As regards payment of compensation, under SC/ST Rules an amount of Rs. 22,500.00 each has been paid to 11 bonded labourers. Since all the bonded labourers have been provided rehabilitation package and relief under SC/ST Rules, further intervention of the Commission is not called for, the case is closed.
