PVCHR supported the torture survivor Rakesh Vij and his family to fight their case.He joined the PVCHR march against torture on 26 June 2000,UN day in support of torture survivors as chief guest.He recieved ten hundred thousand compensation and State Government spent six hundred thousand on his treatment due to NHRC intervention.See orders of NHRC :
